Exton, PA — December 2, 2020 — Hankin Group, an award-winning development company specializing in construction, design and property management in Chester County, kicked off the holiday season with several initiatives that give back to the community. The team behind Hankin is no stranger to philanthropic work. Founded in 1984, The Hankin Foundation has been dedicated to supporting community institutions, non-profit organizations and other selective charitable efforts since its inception. Over 100 charitable organizations benefit from their contributions every year.
This year, Hankin launched a Virtual Food Drive benefiting the Chester County Food Bank. With a goal set of $2,000, Hankin encouraged its Eagleview residents and commercial tenants along with their social media following and company employees to consider donating online this year due to COVID-19 restrictions. After just one week, half of the virtual food drive goal had been met. At the conclusion of the virtual drive, Hankin exceeded their goal and raised a total of $3,464.
Following the Virtual Food Drive, Hankin partnered with Marine Toys for Tots to establish a Virtual Toy Drive, a new donation option for the foundation this year amid health concerns. Contributors could purchase a toy online to be shipped directly to the local Toys for Tots center. Like the food drive, the group exceeded their goal of 135 items and raised more than 150 toys in only a matter of 14 days.
To provide community members with another opportunity to donate, Hankin constructed the North Pole, a donation drop off location in the middle of Eagleview Town Center. Donation boxes for Toys for Tots and the Chester County Food Bank can be found inside. A mailbox for Santa is setup directly outside to attract local families. Children can visit the nearby restaurants for a pre-filled letter to mail. Donations can be made in-person through December 12th.
Hankin will be wrapping up their holiday campaigns with the Eagleview Holiday Spectacular, a virtual event premiering on the community’s Facebook page on December 10th. The event will feature holiday performances from some of the community’s favorite musical acts from their summer concert series, footage from the annual Christmas Tree lighting and a message from Santa himself. Viewers will have the opportunity to win special giveaways and prizes that give back to Town Center businesses.
