Date December 18, 2020

Exton, PA — October 15, 2020— Hankin Group, a [toby.boma.org]TOBY award winning Chester County development company was invited by BOMA to speak on a virtual panel discussion during the October Monthly Membership meeting on the impacts and challenges of property management as a result of COVID-19 during the afternoon of October 14th. The virtual event titled, Re-Entry & Beyond: A Conversation With Your Industry Peers, featured a lineup of prestigious property management and real estate professionals including Hankin Group’s Commercial Property Department Head, Glen Cooper and Commercial Property Manager, Dawn Filippello.

Cooper and Filippello were asked to speak about COVID-19 reentry protocols, tenant relations and new building operation standards implemented across Hankin Group properties led by Cooper. When asked about preparing the buildings for re-occupancy, Cooper said, “It was extremely important for us to adhere to the CDC guidelines. We took numerous steps to ensure our tenants health and safety by preparing our buildings adequately and efficiently.”

To combat COVID-19, the Hankin Group issued social distancing protocols and required personal protective equipment to be worn at all times in the common areas of their buildings. They also installed hand sanitizing stations, NanoSeptic Continuously Self-Cleaning Surface door handles, elevator buttons and small hand towel dispensers. Cooper and Filippello contracted more employees for enhanced cleaning and disinfection in high touch areas and placed signage on main entrance doors advising employees and visitors of the preventative guidelines set in place across the properties.

Members of the BOMA panel shared their individual COVID-19 plans and discussed in detail what is working, what is not working and gained valuable tools to improve a safe return to the office for their tenants. At the conclusion of the panel discussion, speakers were placed in small break-out sessions as an opportunity to network among industry peers. The panel consisted of speakers within the Philadelphia area including Jeff Engel, Senior Property Manager from City District, Donald S. Haas, the General Manager of One, Two & Three Logan Square, Jill Higgins, SVP Property Management & Partner of Anchor Health Properties, Richard McClure, Managing Director of Kennedy Wilson Properties Group and Monica White, Vice President & Group Manager of Jones Lang LaSalle alongside Cooper and Filippello.
